Joy to the World: ICWC Madina Branch Spreads Love and Hope with Annual Christmas Benevolence

Date: Sunday,December 21, 2025

Location: Madina Estates, Accra

In the heart of Madina Estates, the spirit of Christmas arrived early this year, not just with carols and lights, but with a tangible outpouring of love and community service. On December 21, 2025, the International Covention Worshippers Center (ICWC) Madina Branch transformed the Madina Estates Basic School Park into a haven of hope, hosting their annual Christmas Giveaway Party—a beacon of light for the Widows, orphans and less previleged inthe community.

This event, now a cherished annual tradition, underscores the Church’s  Unwavering commitment to "Be like Christ in love and compassion.

It was a day where the Gospel was not just preached from the pulpit, but demonstrated through rigorous action and compassionate service.

Under the leadership of The Madina Estates Branch Pastor Apostle Kwabena Larbi Frempong and Mrs Maame Anima Larbi Frempong, the event was far more than a simple food distribution drive. Understanding that true welfare involves both the body and the soul, the leadership marshaled and  distributed several hundreds of donation packages.

Volunteers from the congregation helped organise a well-coordinated and rigorous health screening exercise.

Residents of Madina Estates benefited from medical checks, ensuring their physical well-being was prioritized alongside their spiritual needs. To complement the physical check-ups, the church provided counseling sessions, offering motivation and mental fortitude to those facing the harsh economic realities of the year.

The event commenced with a solemn opening prayer, setting a reverent tone for the day.

Apostle Kwabena Larbi then took to the stage to deliver a moving address. He laid bare his heart to the gathering, recounting the story of his divine call to preside over the Madina Branch and reflecting on the journey the church has walked thus far.

However, the core of his message was a passionate plea for empathy. He bemoaned the growing indifference in society and challenged patrons to cultivate a kind heart and a deep sense of charity.

"We must look beyond ourselves," Rev. Larbi urged the crowd and reiterated "For it is in giving that one receives more blessings."

The atmosphere was charged with emotion as beneficiaries shared their stories. In a particularly touching moment, an elderly lady from the community took the microphone. With a voice trembling with emotion, she testified to the consistent support of the Church. She recounted how ICWC Madina had been a pillar of strength, helpful not only to her but to her loved ones during their most trying times. Her testimony stood as a vivid example of the church's impact beyond the four walls of the sanctuary.

The climax of the celebration was the massive food distribution. The church leadership and volunteers distributed several hundreds of love packages specifically targeted at the widows and orphans of Madina Estates. The smiles on the faces of the recipients were the true ornaments of this Christmas celebration, proving that the greatest gift one can offer is the gift of care.

The event was graced by the presence of some Church Elders who came to show their unwavering support.

One of the Notable dignitaries present was: Prophet Amos Anaba

As the sun set on Madina Estates, the ICWC Madina Branch had done more than just fed the hungry; they had fed the spirit of the community, proving once again that the heart of Christmas is love in action.
