My Joy

 I've been hoping and wishing.

Longing to find somebody.

Somebody to love me unconditionally.

Somebody to plan a life with.

Someone to keep it real with me.

Her honesty cuts really deep

But it makes me better.

Her bluntness is like a knife

But it puts me in good shape

She sharpens me with every utter

She makes me smile in my dark days

Right now, she is my only joy.

My joy in the morning,

My joy in the aftenoon

And my joy in the evening

We talk everyday

Her company is bliss

I can't wait to share a kiss

The distance is a test

But we will pass with flying colours

I've let go of myself

I'm head over heels in love

I pray she doesn't break my heart

For she is my happiness

She is my joy.
