People & Prejuidice 2

19th November, 2024.
This time it all occured at The Methodist Church. I'm so taken aback. Like these are people who have spent so much time with my Dad yet they claim they don't know he has a son. I've been to the church so many times. In 2015, I was around for my National Service and afterwards, did my attachment with Radio Windy Bay. All that while I would frequent the church from time to time.
I even took pictures with my dad's little camera. He had introduced me to his photographer buddy Uncle Ato (may his soul rest in perfect peace.) The Choir Master even knows who I am. He knows for a fact that I am Mr Kwamena Bondzie Armah's son yet this man who assaulted me at Adom Spot, who also happens to be in the choir was messing with me again today. The prejudice in this town is too much. I also had another incident earlier in the day at one Seamstress' shop but I won't delve into that much cos she is so inconsequential.

With this man's issue. I really don't understand what his problem is. I think he thinks I am a Scammer. I mean why just judge me based off my looks; my tattoos and maybe the kind of crowd I sometimes fraternize with. I am a respected Journalist  who has had his stories published on reputable networks and blogs so I really don't understand this whole situation. Or because I don't wear a suit and tie and sit on Television like my mates on TV3, Metro TV etc I can't be a Journo? I am really fed up with the prejudice and I am not waiting for a 3rd time. I am pressing charges this time around. He threatened me today with a lot of menacing gestures. I believe he would have hit me if it wasn't for the fact that this time we were in a Church setting. He strangled me so hard the last time.  I had to go through all this just because I tried to shoot a video in the Methodist church and I was hanging with the Media team. Wait, is there a problem with me wanting to do something like that? I am only trying to do a replica video of what Sarkodie did with an orchestra at BBC 1xtra and I found the place nice. I had even spoken to the security man who also told me to speak to the chief security. He also told me to speak to the Media team and I did do. I am so appalled I had to receive such hostility just because I want to shoot a music video in a church I used to go to as a kid. That is my only crime; wanting to do something nice to project my culture and image of my people in Winneba? Gosh!

I rest my case here.
I'm typing too much cos I am really pissed off.

In conclusion, I will bring the full force of the law on this man's head. He will be a great example to everybody else not to judge before knowing people especially here in Winneba. #ThisIsWinneba Childish Gambino cover coming soon. ##NotForGhana
